Sorting

The Pivot Table below is currently sorted alphabetically according to Sales Rep.  A more meaningful way to sort this data might be according to sales.  Use the steps below to learn how to sort a Pivot Table.

Note:  Double-click Sales Rep to walk through a sorting example.

Starting Point:  You have created a Pivot Table.

1. Double-click the field you want to sort by.

2. Click Advanced.

3. From the AutoSort options area select either Ascending or Descending.

4. From the Using Field dropdown list, select a field.

Note:  You will usually select the data field.

5. Click OK.

6. Click OK.
