Grouping

You may want to group similar items in a Pivot Table.  For example, you can group months into quarters.

Starting Point:  You have created a Pivot table and are ready to group similar items.

1. Select similar items you want to group.

2. Right-click and select Group and Outline...Group.

3. Type the group name.

4. Repeat steps 1-3 until grouping is completed.

In the Pivot Table below the months have been grouped into quarters.
